FADING LIGHTS

Fading Lights is a short film that tells the story of Charlie, a young woman plagued by panic attacks, depression and anxiety. Throughout her daily life, she experiences visions in which she loses herself. An unknown helper notices Charlie's problems and gently offers support to pull her out of her emotional depths. The film aims to raise awareness of mental health issues among young people and shows how even support from strangers can make a positive difference.

About the creation of Fading Lights

During our 6th semester in the interdisciplinary module, we, four students named Antonia P., Steve, Jette and Antonia B., decided to make the short film "Fading Lights". Driven by our fascination with the topic of dreams, we had long planned to carry out a project in this direction. The decision to focus on the crucial topic of adolescent mental health was of great importance to us. Together we developed the script and got some initial inspiration before we started casting in the summer of 2023 to bring the film to life.
